Back 2 School Drive
|
Doane distributed 1,000 ready to learn bags filled with notebooks, pencils, glue, markers, and crayons to Crete Elementary and Intermediate school classrooms last month. Doane worked with 20 local sponsors to help fund the much needed school supplies, including City Bank and Trust, Pinnacle Bank, and Nestle Purina. Over $3,300 was raised for this effort.

Strength & Conditioning Recognition
|
Doane's undergraduate strength & conditioning program was recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for successfully meeting established educational program criteria in strength and conditioning. 10/11 News Feature
|
Doane has offered a mix of course modalities this fall during the pandemic. Some professors who are teaching in person have elected to hold their classes outside while the weather is nice, an added benefit of a spacious campus. 10/11 News reporter and Doane graduate Bayley Bischof ’17 came to the Crete campus to report on this. The Robert L. Polk Lecture on Race and Social Justice presents: You Belong Here. Rachel D. Fox is this year's speaker. Rachel is a passionate entrepreneur, business consultant, advocate for positive change, and mother of 10 children with an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit. She is the proud owner of Catapult Consulting Solutions and Founder of the female empowerment organization, You Go Girl. During this talk, Rachel will be giving real, candid examples of being in spaces that weren't created equal and advocating for herself and her children. She'll also talk about how those around us can help to make every space more inclusive as we move forward to a future where racial discrimination isn't just hidden, it's eliminated.
