Cindy Meyer, Associate Professor of Physical Education and Health, wanted to create new opportunities for physical education students to gain practical experience, particularly through partnerships with Crete Public Schools. Thus, the Unified Doane/Crete Adapted Physical Education Course was born.

Charles Walton ‘77 is the newest executive director of the organization 100 Black Men of Chicago, a nearly 60-year-old organization with chapters nationwide that connects business leaders and other adult volunteers with African-American males, ages 13-18 to provide mentoring, education, health and wellness and economic empowerment.

With a Doane degree in hand, Donn Crilly ‘50 set out in search of the world
|
|
Former Board of Trustees member, Donn Crilly ‘50 pioneered the field of vascular surgery in the state of Nebraska, and then never stopped learning. While traveling the world, Crilly spent 20 years working on a 1,100-page “A History of the World” before it was published in 2011.

One Day. One Doane.
|
Doane University's Alumni Office held the third annual "One Day. One Doane." fundraising event from 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 17th to 10 a.m. Thursday February 18th. In 24 hours, 479 donors helped raise $124,194 in gifts to support aademics, athletics, campus life, financial aid, fine arts, and people at Doane.

Black History Month
|
All month long, Doane's Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites the Doane community to celebrate Black History Month by visiting their interactive display located in Nyrop Hall. "This display is more important than ever," says Vice President of the Division of DEI, Luis Sotelo. "I hope this experience creates a space to deepen our learning and celebrate Black American history and culture today-and everday. Black history is American history and representation matters."
