Doane to provide free COVID-19 testing to Crete campus students in January
|

Doane will be providing salvia-based PCR COVID-19 testing, free of charge, to Crete campus students upon their return in January. The testing is required for all students living on campus and all student-athletes.

Jeff Johnson ’88 named Interim Director of Athletics
|
|
Doane named Jeff Johnson Interim Director of Athletics earlier this month. Johnson is a 1988 Doane graduate who recently retired after most recently serving as Principal at Papillion La Vista South High School. Johnson served as AD and Assistant Principal at Papio South from 2002-2013 before becoming Principal.

Cole Bruns is one of Doane University's featured graduates this December. Cole has taken advantage of Doane's Degree+ offering, completing two MBA courses during his senior year. Cole plans to finish the MBA program at Doane this summer.

Featured Grad: Basim Alali ’20L
|
|
Basim Alali is one of Doane University's featured graduates this December. Basim took courses on the Lincoln campus, majoring in Business Administration. He is also set to soon complete the Nebraska Dev Lab Pipeline Program, a collaboration between Doane & Don't Panic Labs, a local software development company.

Dean's List
|
The Dean's List for the Fall 2020 semester was recently unveiled at Doane. This year, 269 students qualified. Students must achieve a minimum 3.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale and hold 12 graded hours to qualify for this academic distinction. The Fall 2020 Dean's List can be seen here.

Renshaw ’19 receives John Goddard Prize for Environmental Leadership
|
Zach Renshaw, a 2019 Doane graduate, recently received a John Goddard prize, which is awarded to enterprising young people pursuing environmental projects. The New Leaders Initiative, a program dedicated to identifying, supporting, and sustaining young environmental leaders, administers the Goddard prize. Renshaw received the recognition for his contributions to Doane's sustainability master plan. Renshaw also helped lead the movement to have Doane become the first university in Nebraska to commit to divesting in fossil fuels, a resolution the Board of Trustees approved in May of 2019.
