Doane awards 450 degrees to May graduates

Although Doane was unable to hold its traditional Commencement ceremony in May, 450 degrees were awarded and mailed to graduates who completed their degrees this spring.

Paul Edwards ’94L, ’20B

Paul Edwards, a 1994 graduate of the Lincoln campus and 2020 graduate of Doane's MBA program, was recently named the new President/CEO of Thayer County Health Services. Edwards previously worked at CHI Health St. Elizabeth as Director of Clinical Research and most recently, Edwards was the Chief Operating Officer at the Pender Community Hospital District in Pender, NE. ATHLETICS

Wick named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Doane senior-to-be Alec Wick has been named to the 2020 College Sports Inforrmation Directors of America (CoSIDA) Acadmeic All-District 3 team for the Track & Field/Men's Cross Country Division. Wick was named the 2019 GPAC Cross Country Male Athlete of the Year, helping lead the Tigers to their first team appearance at the NAIA National Championship meet in 10 years.

Helen Doane Perry Award Winners

Each year Doane University recognizes four members of the Doane community with an award to honor their contributions. The student recipients for the Helen Doane Perry Outstanding Student Awards are Allison Baird and Luke Reestman. The faculty and staff recipients are Tim Hill, professor of political science and Angie Klasek, Executive Director of the Lincoln campus.
